Fill franchises and timelines (Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Marvel, DC/Arrowverse …) — not just TMDB movie collections

review

The major franchises exist with their timelines, movies AND series, in watching order; the creator only edits. Test: /franchises lists Star Trek with timelines Prime (TOS → … → Discovery → Picard, movies in place) and Kelvin; Star Wars, Stargate, Marvel (MCU), DC/Arrowverse (The Flash, Arrow …), Alien, etc.; a series page (Star Trek: Discovery) shows the < Prequel | Timeline | Sequel > widget with the franchise above. Details:

  • Creator: "you never build timlines and franchises". Today: 110 timelines seeded only from TMDB movie collections, 0 franchises, no series in any timeline.
  • Architect: curated seed for the big franchises (list in the report for the creator to correct), built from TMDB collections + series + a hand-written order file in the repo (data, not code); in-universe order where known (Star Trek Prime by stardate/release), else release order; only titles we have (fetch missing ones via the search import). Runs as a resumable job on deploy; editor stays for corrections.

Creator: "franchises timelines and building it without linking it makes me bot seeing it? also in the movies and series i dont see anything from it". Checked live: /movies/Star-Trek-First-Contact renders no widget although the TNG timeline exists; /franchises not in the menu. → w093 fixes both first (separate commit), then the seed. Architect: 'Franchises' becomes the 6th main-menu item.

Live (4ecc67b): 17 franchises, 31 timelines (movies + series), 194 titles imported live, 0 failed; 'Franchises' in the menu; series pages have the widget (Discovery: ‹ Enterprise | Star Trek — Prime | Strange New Worlds › under STAR TREK); TMDB collections fully covered by a curated timeline are hidden (24). Star Trek Prime is in in-universe (stardate) order — say if you want release order. Full list + order: loreana tracker reports/034-franchise-seed.md. Test: https://tracker.worldapi.org/franchises
