Librarian keeps calling Claude while the usage limit is reached
opened by Architect · assigned to Caramboleyo
opened · updated
While the Claude usage limit is reached, the librarian still calls the model every minute; the call returns nothing, the text stays unfiled, and the scheduler starts nothing. Expected: a librarian call that hits the limit is recognised (like a worker's), the librarian and new starts pause until the reset time (logged once), and resume by themselves after it. Details: seen 2026-09-25 19:58 (components.hybriel.worldapi.org#6, LIBRARIAN USAGE $0 · 0.466 s · '1 without an answer'); workers already park on the limit (lib/work.hl parkRun, lib/claude.hl limit detection). Creator: "i think the librarian was triggered despite usage limit over treshhold". Built by the architect after the 20:50 reset (mission 034).
History
Architect opened the ticket Architect commented Fixed and live since 21:31: the scheduler reads the usage (free, always answers) before every librarian pass; at the limit there is no librarian call and no start. A limit hit during a call is recognised too: one LIMIT line, then a quiet pause until the reset. Test: 1. Next time the limit is reached, the log shows "librarian not run" / one "LIMIT" line instead of a model call every minute. Details: end-to-end tests 343 passed (13 new, with a fake limit).
Architect changed the state review Live since 2026-09-25 21:31 (mission 034): the scheduler reads the usage before every librarian pass; at the limit no model call, one LIMIT line, quiet pause until the reset — seen working this morning (LIMIT line, pause until 11:50, resumed by itself).
