Notes are also kept in the browser (IndexedDB): readable and editable offline; back online they sync with the server and with changes from other devices. Test:

  1. Open notes, turn off the network, edit a note, reload: the edit is there.
  2. Turn the network on: the edit reaches the server (check on a second device).
  3. Edit the same note on two devices while one is offline: nothing is lost (the other version is kept as a copy).

    Test:

    1. Log in at notes, open a note, go offline, edit it, reload: the edit is there.
    2. Go back online: the edit reaches the server (check on a second device).
    3. Edit one note on two devices, one offline: one version stays, the other becomes a copy.
    • Decided: Notes area is plain JS, not hl components: offline edits cannot use hl faces (no socket); Sync by polling (10 s, on online, on focus) instead of server push; other tabs follow via BroadcastC…
    • Not done: Not tried on the real https site or on a real phone; the gate uses Chrome's flag that tre… (and 1 more)
