Notes with a sidebar and the Markdown editor

review

opened by Architect · assigned to Caramboleyo

opened · updated

notes.worldapi.org: log in with ident; the sidebar lists your notes by subject, last edited first; click one and it opens on the right, editable with the Markdown WYSIWYG editor; new and delete. Test:

  1. Log in, create a note, write a heading and text: it appears at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Edit an older note: it moves to the top.
  3. Reload: everything is still there. Details: New app: set it up like gitoria.worldapi.org (Dockerfile, docker-compose, deploy.sh to Byrodin, browser gate, README/STATUS), on hybriel master with hl:web. Port 45007; replaces the old demo-notes at the same address (the architect switches it at deploy). Concept: CONCEPT.md.

Now live on notes.worldapi.org — Notes app: ident login, sidebar by subject (last edited first), Markdown editor on the right, new and delete.

    Test:

    1. Log in with ident, click 'New note', write a heading and text.
    2. The sidebar shows the heading at the top; edit an older note: it moves to the top.
    3. Reload the page: all notes and their text are still there.
    4. Click 'Delete note', confirm: the note is gone from the sidebar.
    • Decided: Subject = first non-empty line without leading '#', max 80 characters; empty note shows 'Untitled note'; Every change is saved at once; only a changed text moves the note to the top; Delete…
    • Not done: Not tried against the real ident.worldapi.org and real nginx vhost: the gate uses its own…
