Question: `mode` reserved, and `let` in a for loop

mode is a reserved name at a file root. A let inside a for body is one binding shared by all closures of the loop.
My recommendation: keep mode; make let fresh per iteration.

lethalf is answered by SPEC.md itself (Capture is BY REFERENCE: "declare a fresh binding per iteration"). Aletinside a loop body is fresh per iteration, and the loop variable stays one binding. Being fixed under #106. Only themodehalf is still open.Caramboleyo commented you mean
