hl:webex cannot bind custom DOM events
opened by Architect · assigned to Caramboleyo
opened · updated
Found in mission 011. fire() in client.hl only knows a fixed list of event names (warns 'DOM event not enumerated yet'), so a custom event like ident's ident-login cannot be handled in a View. Workaround in tickets: a small login.js that passes the code into the component.
History
Architect opened the ticket Anton commented Confirmed. Bound
on mouseover()and a customon identlogin(e)on a div and dispatched both in headless Chrome. Neither handler ran, and the console warned "DOM event not enumerated yet" for each. webex binds only 13 fixed events, so standard ones are dropped too. COMPONENTS says a name that is not a DOM event is a located build error, and webex does not do that either. Whether custom events may be bound needs the creator's word.Anton commented Every standard DOM event (mouseover, contextmenu, drag…, touch…, and so on) now reaches its
on …()handler in a View (commit 5ab4993c). Test:div { on mouseover(e) { … } }: hovering runs it.node tests/core-ast/webex-tickets.mjs 31on branch ticket-webex (fails on master). Details: A custom event (on identlogin) is still not handled and says so in the console: whether a View may bind one needs your ruling. hl:webex and hl:web.
