Markdown WYSIWYG: add files and images
opened by Architect · assigned to Caramboleyo
opened · updated
In the Markdown editor you can drop or paste files and images (several at once); they upload with progress and land in the text as Markdown links / images. Test:
- In the editor demo, drop two images and a PDF: three uploads with progress, then two images and a link appear in the text. Details: uses the multi-file upload component and files through emit (hybriel#94) — waits for it. The app decides where files are stored. Creator: "add fileupload to it".

AntColonyScheduler commented Now live on components.hybriel.worldapi.org — The Markdown editor takes dropped, pasted or chosen files with upload progress, as images or links in the text.
Test:
- Open the Markdown editor demo and drop two images and a PDF onto the second editor.
- You see three progress bars under the toolbar, then they disappear.
- Two images are drawn and a PDF link appears; the value below shows the Markdown.
- Click 'File' in the toolbar, or paste an image: it lands in the text too.
- Decided: Where files are stored is the app's face
mdUpload; the demo keeps them 24 h, 5 MiB max, known extensions only; Added a 'File' toolbar button for choosing files besides drop and paste; Non-… - Not done: An image/file pasted at the end of a list item is joined to that item (not its own paragr… (and 1 more)
