Month view marks the wrong today after midnight
opened by Architect · assigned to Caramboleyo
opened · updated
Right after midnight (local time) the month view marks a different day than the visitor's today: the server and the browser disagree on the date. Seen 2026-09-26 ~02:05 CEST: the gate 'today is marked (browser date)' failed, expected 2026-09-26. Test:
- Set the browser to a time zone where it is already the next day compared to the server (or run the gate between 00:00 and 02:00 CEST): today is the visitor's today, on the first page and after paging. Details: blocks the components deploy while it fails (the markdown and code editor fixes wait for it).

- Decided: Mount hook = the same 100 ms CSS animation md-editor uses; no new mechanism; Gate time zone fixed to Pacific/Kiritimati so the test does not depend on the clock time.
- Not done: I did not run the new gate against the old code, so I did not watch it fail first. The Ki…
